Privacy of Information on Online Forms
- The personal information you provide on a CSU Library form is protected by the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW).
- The copyright declaration in the online request form is provided in pursuance of s.49(2A) of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
- Information you provide will only be used to supply Library requests made by you and not for any other purpose unless you give us permission to use it for another purpose.
- The personal information you provide will not be made available without your consent to any person or organisation outside of the University for processing or for any other purpose other than to supply your Library requests.
- Your personal information will be stored at Charles Sturt University Library in a secure area and will be kept for up to 4 years and then destroyed.
- You may access your personal information to ensure that is not inaccurate, irrelevant to the purpose for which it was collected, misleading, incomplete or out-of-date.
- You may also ask us to amend any of the information we hold about you or to add comments or explanations in relation to the information we hold on you.
- To do any of these things you should contact the CSU library.
- If you are unhappy with the way we have handled or failed to handle your personal information you may apply to have the matter reviewed by lodging a formal application with the University Secretary whose address is given below.
