Using the CCH Online Collections
Electronic access to full text CCH loose-leaf services & cases, relating to a range of legal topics.
CSU Library does not subscribe to all of the CCH services listed in these Collections. If you encounter the message Access Denied! the title is not part of the CSU subscription.
Browsing
- Click on the name of the selected library in the left frame. This displays all the books in the library in the right frame.
- Click on one of the books in the right frame to display its Table of Contents and then use the Table of Contents in the left frame to browse the topics in the book.
- Extra buttons are then displayed at the top of the screen. These allow you print, and expand or collapse the table of contents to navigate the book. The Home button returns you to the list of libraries in the collection.
- Use the browser's Back button to return to previous screens.
Searching
- Enter the search terms using the boolean connectors AND (for all terms to appear in the result); OR (for either or both terms to appear); or AND NOT (to exclude a term).
- Wildcards can be used with search terms : ? replaces a single character eg. wom?n; * replaces any number of characters eg. bene* finds benefit, beneficial, beneficiary etc.
- Use the search box at the top of the screen to search within a single book, a single collection or the entire collection by selecting from the drop down menu next to the search field.
Printing/Downloading
- To print from CCH, click on the Print Mode button at the top of the left window. More buttons will appear in a brown menu bar underneath.
- Click in the box next to the document you want to print or download and then click Print to PDF.
- The document you have selected will open in a new window in PDF format for you to print or save. There can be a delay while this happens.

- A Help menu and tutorial are available on the top right corner of the screen.
