Advanced Search Tips
The online help contains information on the following topics:
Using Different Fields
Use the drop down menus in Advanced Search to specify a field for your search term. Advanced Search assumes AND as the Boolean Operator.
Example

Tip! Use "is (exactly)" if you know the item you are looking for.
Using Limiters
Use the drop down menus to set limits on your search.
Example

Tip! Make sure the Material Type and the Source are compatible, e.g. searching for material type "DVDs and Videos" in the Source "Articles" will not return results.
Grouping Terms
Group terms that you wish to search for together in brackets.
Example
(heart OR cardiac) nursing
(youth OR adolescent OR teenager) bullying
(business OR corporate) responsibility
Tip! Enter OR in uppercase, otherwise the system will see it as part of your search.
