Primo Search Data Sources

The following sources contribute metadata records to the dataset searched by Primo Search. The CSU Library may not subscribe to all of the collections or their holdings, and the resources that are subscribed to are not necessarily available to you through the source of the record.


ACM Digital Library
ACM Digital Library includes full text of every article ever published by ACM and bibliographic citations from major publishers in computing.


American Institute of Physics
Highly relevant content from over 50 publications, including Science and Nature, provided in collaboration by the American Institute of Physics and the American Physical Society.


American Psychological Association
CSU subscribes to several APA databases including PsycINFO and PsycARTICLES. PsycINFO is a bibliographic database that provides abstracts and citations to the scholarly literature in the psychological, social, behavioural, and health sciences. PsycARTICLES contains full text articles from 68 scholarly journals in psychology and related disciplines.


BioMed Central
BioMed Central publishes free peer-reviewed scientific articles in all areas of medical research and biology, with scientific and medical databases, review journals and 220 peer-reviewed research journals.


BioOne is an entirely full-text collection of more than 150 journals, including some of the most important academic society journals in their respective disciplines, providing access to critical, peer-reviewed research in the biological, ecological, and environmental sciences.


BMJ Journals
BMJ Journals contain leading medical titles in specialist clinical areas, public health and evidence-based medicine.


Cambridge Journals Online
Cambridge Journals Online includes approximately 100 full text journals in a range of subject areas, published by Cambridge University Press.


CrossRef is the citation-linking backbone for online publications. It enables researchers to navigate electronic journals, across publishers, based on open-standards technology (the Digital Object Identifier, or DOI, system).


This resource is a collection of 30 entirely full-text Australian journals published by CSIRO Publishing. These cover a broad range of scientific disciplines including mainly agriculture, the plant and animal sciences, and environmental management.


There are many thousands of e-Books in the Dawsonera catalogue, produced by academic publishers around the world in a variety of subject areas.


Directory of Open Access Journals
DOAJ contains free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals, covering all subjects and many languages.


Ebook Library
EBL is a large and constantly growing multidisciplinary collection of e-Books. Thousands of EBL titles have been purchased for permanent use by CSU Library clients.


EBSCO [most full text EBSCO content indexed in Primo Search]
CSU subscribes to a collection of more than 20 EBSCOhost databases covering a range of subject areas, some of which include full text. Subjects covered include business, management, computing, health & nursing, education, professional development, sociology, psychology, religion & philosophy, sport, leisure, and economics.


CSU subscribes to several Elsevier databases that cover a range of topics within science and health.


Emerald Journals
This database gives full-text access to Emerald's complete collection of 175 journals, plus abstracts of articles from 300 journals, in the area of international management research.


The ERIC database provides access to education-related research including more than 107,000 full-text non-journal documents (issued 1993-2004) and more than 1.1 million citations back to 1966.


The online resources provided by Gale are specifically created for research across all academic disciplines. Expanded Academic ASAP offers balanced coverage of every academic concentration - from advertising and microbiology to history and women's studies.

hathi trust

Hathi Trust
The HathiTrust Digital Library brings together the immense collections of partner institutions including The Committee on Institutional Cooperation, the University of California system, and the University of Virginia and preserves them in digital form.


Informit Online is a set of mainly Australian databases containing indexes, and some with full text material, in a wide range of subjects, including Business, Science, Health, Social sciences, Computing, Education, and Religion.


Ingenta is a database of current article summaries from more than 20,000 multidisciplinary journals with links to the full text of over 4,500 titles, CSU subscribes to some of these.


Johns Hopkins University Press
JHU Press is one of the world's largest university presses, publishing 60 scholarly journals and nearly 200 new books each year. Subjects covered include history, science, literary studies, political science, and medicine.

asm (American Society of Microbiology)
ASM journals provide access to prominent publications in the field, delivering up-to-date and authoritative coverage of both basic and clinical microbiology.


JSTOR is an archive of journal back files from a wide range of subjects. It does not contain current issues of these journal titles. Each journal publisher has determined what years will be available through the database.


MEDLINE is recognised as the premier index of biomedical literature, and includes allied health fields, plus the biological and physical sciences, humanities and information science as they relate to health care.


PLoS is a nonprofit organisation of scientists and physicians committed to making the world's scientific and medical literature a freely available public resource.


Project MUSE
Project MUSE is the result of collaboration between libraries and publishers that provides 100% full-text, affordable and user-friendly online access to current content from over 400 prestigious humanities and social sciences journals.

PubMed Central
PubMed Central (PMC) is a free digital full-text archive of life sciences and medical sciences journal literature, developed and managed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the (US) National Library of Medicine (NLM).


Royal Society of Chemistry
The RSC publishes a number of comprehensive databases and current awareness products. Hundreds of international journals are scanned each month for inclusion in all of their titles.


Science Direct - Elsevier
ScienceDirect includes 2,500 titles, more than 2,120 available in full-text. The database gives comprehensive coverage to all areas of the sciences and social sciences. Material is organised in the major subject areas of physical sciences and engineering; life sciences; health sciences; and social sciences and humanities.


Springer- Including Springerlink
SpringerLink is an integrated full-text database for journals, books, protocols, eReferences, and book series published by Springer. CSU's subscription is to more than 1450 peer-reviewed full-text journals, which tend to be from the medical, and scientific disciplines.


Web of Science
Web of Science is an amalgamation of 3 citations databases that can be searched individually or together. There is no full-text of the articles but the SFX linking software can be used to locate full-text. To search this resource the user must be logged in to Primo Search.


Wiley Online Library
Wiley Online Library is a database of journals and e-Books, CSU has access to the bulk of this collection in full-text with more than 1200 journals covering Business, Education, Law, Medicine, Science, Social Sciences, the Humanities, and the Arts.
