SmartSearch is a cutting edge information gateway that provides all Charles Sturt University library patrons with a single user interface for accessing and searching a variety of electronic resources. Via the gateway you can access - Internet sites, databases, other library catalogues, statistics, atlases and reference materials.
SmartSearch offers a number of search options including dedicated searching of online resources and e-journals. Article Finder allows users to enter a direct search for a citation across the library's entire collection. Users can customise the interface to suit their needs and initiate services such as alerts, whereby search strategies are rerun automatically at set intervals with the results emailed to the user's desktop.
A current CSU Student Card is required to access SmartSearch. To apply for a student card, complete the Student Identification Card Form and send it to the Student Administration Office at your home campus. Check the Student Administration contact page for campus addresses. For further assistance or to provide feedback about SmartSearch, please contact us directly at: smartsearch@csu.edu.au
The guides are in PDF file format. You need Adobe Reader to view them.
