CSU Library's Collections

As a CSU student, you have free access to the library resources you will need for your studies. CSU Library provides access to over 600,000 books and 50,000 journals. With an increasing volume of resources now published in electronic format, access has never been so easy.

We realise the large collections of resources can be overwhelming so please don't hesitate to ask for help.

Primo Search: Our Next-Gen 'Catalogue'!

Finding the resources you need is getting easier everyday with our next-gen search tool called Primo Search. Primo Search provides you with a one-stop solution to search our entire collection, including online resources (ebooks, ejournals, etc.), print publications and reliable websites.

find Accessing Resources

CSU Library Card

Your CSU Student Card is your Library Card. If you do not already have a CSU Student Card, please contact Student Central

On Campus

You can borrow up to 20 items (books, videos or AV items) from any CSU Campus Library. Loan periods are:

  • 4 weeks (28 days) for books and kits; up to 4 renewals allowed
  • 2 weeks (14 days) for DVDs and videos; 1 renewal allowed

Via Distance

Note: Available to Distance Education students only

Managing Your Library Account Online

You can easily view your current loans, renew items, and even cancel requests, all from the convenience of your own home.

Online Reference

Use Online Reference to find links to statistics and standards, encyclopaedias, industry regulations, dictionaries, atlases and images, telephone directories, and much more.

Subject Support

Subject Support provides a step-by-step guide to finding resources for your assignments. It includes short tutorials on analysing your topic and searching for library resources. Subject Support also provides links to information on referencing, plagiarism, and useful statistics.

To get started, select your subject area (e.g. Indigenous Studies) on the Subject Support page. Then follow the steps and work through the process of finding information for your assignment.

Online Tutorials

Online Tutorials are short videos that introduce library resources and services, and assist you in developing your research and study skills.
