Information For Port Macquarie Students
- How do I borrow from the Library in Port Macquarie?
- The Public Library in Port Macquarie, located at the corner of Gordon and Grant St. across the road from CSU Port Macquarie Campus, will house the CSU Library physical collection of prescribed and recommended texts.
Opening Hours: 9.30am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday
9.00am to 12.00pm Saturday
The CSU collection will be shelved separately on two bays of dedicated shelves and will only be available to CSU students registered to borrow with Port Macquarie Library.
Students will present their CSU ID card and enrol as borrowers.
Limit of twenty items on loan at any time and loan period of four weeks.
Note! These items will have to be returned to Port Macquarie Public Library. - How do I borrow from the CSU Library?
- Port Macquarie Students are able to borrow items as Distance Education students from all Australian Campuses. To do this you require a current CSU ID card.
- Can I access online collections?
- Yes. Online journal databases and eBooks are available to you.
- Can I request copies of book chapters and journal articles that are only available in print form?

- Library items will be delivered by Australia Post.
- Do I have to pay for items to be sent to me?
- The Library will pay the postage cost to send items out. Return postage service for Distance Education students living in Australia is free. A postage paid return address label will be included in each DE postage parcel sent by the Library. This label can simply be affixed to each parcel when posting back to the Library.
At this stage, the return postage service does not include items borrowed through the InterLibrary Loans scheme and does not extend to DE students living outside of Australia. Library items should be returned in padded envelopes.
Note! These CSU Library items will need to be returned by post using the replied paid address label. They cannot be returned either to the campus at Port Macquarie or to the Port Macquarie Public Library. Items not returned in the correct manner will accrue fines. - What are the borrowing and renewing conditions?

- Can I borrow from other Australian universities?
- Yes, please refer to the ULANZ website for more information.
Please note: DE students living outside of Australia are not eligible.
