Which resource to use
- Primo Search - Find Books, DVDs, eBooks, journals and search most of the Library's online journal articles and newspaper content with this discovery tool. A simple search box will bring back results from a number of different sources. Searches can be narrowed by using facets to focus your results.
- Journal databases - Find up-to-date research and information not freely available on the web. Search for citations and abstracts to journal articles, newspaper articles, book chapters, research reports, book reviews, conference proceedings, theses and statistics. Many databases also provide the full text of articles.
- eBooks - Search for eBooks, the online equivalent of a printed book. eBooks offer the convenience of instant access, no late fees or return postage costs. The majority of eBooks are available in full text, with some allowing limited access.
- Reserve - Recommended readings requested by Lecturers to support subjects. Includes electronic copies of articles and book chapters, as well as, materials that are high demand items available for short term use at each campus Library (books, DVDs, videos and other audovisual material).
- eJournal Titles - Locate eJournals by title or by subject area (note: electronic/online journals only - not print journals). This is useful if you are looking for a particular eJournal that you know the title of.
- Subject Guides - A variety of subject-related resources laid out in a step-by-step format to help you complete your assignment.
- Article Finder - Search for a specific journal article. Requires at least the complete journal title or ISSN to work.
- Online Reference - A list of useful websites and other online resources on a variety of topics.
- New Titles - A list of the new titles (books, DVDs, journals, etc.) added to the library collection each week.
- Google Scholar - Search broadly for scholarly publications. Google Scholar Preferences can be configured to show if CSU Library subscribes to an article online and link to the full text. If your search results include books, it can also indicate whether they are in the CSU Library collection.
