Ovid Linking

Create a link to an Ovid Article

  1. Search Ovid for the article you want to link to.
  2. Click the "Complete Reference" or 'Abstract Reference' link to the right of the citation. (see image below)

  3. Copy the "Accession Number" (22-digit number) in the article information. (see image below)

  4. Paste this number into the "Accession Number" box below.
  5. Click "Create Link".
  6. Your complete link will appear in the "Complete Link" box. If you want to test the complete link to make sure it works, click "Test Link", otherwise, copy the link and paste it into your document or webpage.

Create a link to an Ovid Journal

  1. From the database selection page in Ovid select either 'CSU Fulltext Journals@Ovid' or 'Journals@Ovid'.
  2. Click the "Journals" tab. (see image below)

  3. Find your journal by browsing via subject or alphabetical listing, or by searching for the title. (see image below)

  4. Click "About this Journal" next to the title. (see image below)

  5. Copy the "Accession Number" listed on the left side of the page. (see image below)

  6. Paste this number into the "Accession Number" box below.
  7. Click "Create Link".
  8. Your complete link will appear in the "Complete Link" box. If you want to test the complete link to make sure it works, click "Test Link", otherwise, copy the link and paste it into your document or webpage.
