Create a link to a ScienceDirect Article

  1. Search ScienceDirect for the article you want to link to.
  2. Click on the title of the article.
  3. Right click on the link below the article title and select "Copy Shortcut" or “Copy Link Location”. (see image below)
  4. Paste this link into your document or webpage.

Create a link to a ScienceDirect Journal

  1. Locate the journal you want to link to by browsing through the alphabetical list of publications or using the "Browse" shortcuts down the left side of the page. (see image below)
  2. Click the title of the journal you want to link to.
  3. At the top of the page, right click on 'Shortcut link to this title' and select 'Copy Shortcut'.  (see image below)
  4. Paste this link into the "ScienceDirect Link" box below.
  5. Click "Create Link".
  6. Your complete link will appear in the "Complete Link" box. If you want to test the complete link to make sure it works, click "Test Link", otherwise, copy the link and paste it into your document or webpage.
