Search ScienceDirect for the article you want to link to.
Click on the title of the article. (see image below)

Copy the DOI number at the top of the next page. (see image below)

Paste this number into the "DOI Number" box below.
Click "Create Link".
Your complete link will appear in the "Complete Link" box. If you want to test the complete link to make sure it works, click "Test Link", otherwise, copy the link and paste it into your document or webpage.
Locate the journal you want to link to by browsing through the alphabetical list of publications or using the "Browse" shortcuts down the left side of the page. (see image below)

Copy the "Shortcut URL to this page" link at the top of the page. (see image below)

Paste this link into the "ScienceDirect Link" box below.
Click "Create Link".
