Faculty Liaison Services - Off Campus Support

If you are based at a campus without a local Faculty Liaison Librarian, work from home, are a research student studying via distance education or are based at one of our partner institutions then you can still access the full range of Faculty Liaison library training and support.

These services can be delivered to you via teleconference or Skype; with the option of using Bridgit to remotely share computer desktops.

Please contact us directly, or use the book-a-librarian form to request training or arrange a consultation session.

We use the following software applications to assist us to deliver our services:

Bridgit

Bridgit can be used to share computer desktops between multiple users via the Internet.
Visit the DIT website to find out more information and download the software.

If you have questions about how to perform certain tasks on your computer, or need help with a particular problem that you are experiencing, then sharing your computer desktop with us via Bridgit can help us resolve the issues for you.

Skype

Skype uses your Internet (broadband) connection to make free voice calls over the Internet. You will need to create a Skype account to be able to use this service.
