Researcher profiles & ORCiD
Researcher profiles and identities can be used to promote you and your research to the community:
making you and your research discoverable
publishing a list of your research outputs
find and be found by potential collaborators
create opportunities for citation of your published work
ORCiD provides a persistent digital identity that allows researchers and authors to identify their work from those of others with the same name. It is also widely used by publishers and research funding bodies such as the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and Australian Research Council (ARC).
Other established identities and profiles include:
Scopus Author ID
ResearcherID (Web of Science)
ASN (Academic Social Networks) such as Academia.edu and ResearchGate may also be used to share ideas, research and collaborate with fellow researchers.
