Bio
Alissa completed her Dip Ed at CSU Wagga in 2003 and worked as a high school teacher in Sydney and the Riverina before commencing employment as an Educational Designer at CSU. During her time in school based education, Alissa was frequently involved in technology use within educational settings and mentoring peers in the use of technology within the classroom.
Alissa worked with the School of Biomedical Science in 2008 and is now with the School of Education. Having completed subjects both internally and as a distance student throughout her studies, Alissa is familiar with both modes of study, and has a special interest in the development of online learning environments and increasing interaction in distance learning modes.
Outside of CSU, Alissa is in involved in sports such as softball, tennis, golf, and rugby union, and is a volunteer with Assistance Dogs Australia, raising and training Labrador and Golden Retriever puppies until they reach 18 months of age. Once fully trained, these dogs provide greater independence to people in wheelchairs.
