Bio

Deb is the educational technologist based in Wagga Wagga and is involved in designing practical learning experiences and resources for students with academics on the Wagga Wagga campus, in particular using educational technologies.

Deb started as an Educational Designer at CSU in 2007 in the School of Commerce. While she has experience as a high school teacher with a specialisation in information technology, Deb has a broad background in teaching over many years in a wide range of areas in both child and adult education.

Deb has particular interest in simulations, serious games and authentic work related teaching including role plays. She is currently participating in eSims, an ALTC funded project concentrating on building capacity in eSimulation development to provide authentic work situated learning for students.

With a strong background in prior learning in information technology, Deb undertook a Bachelor of Education (TAS) from CSU with an Information Technology major. She is currently undertaking a Master of Education also with a major in Information Technology concentrating on developing professional development in ICTs and managing educational change. Deb has a strong interest in creating professional development programs and resources to assist academics and educational designers improve teaching and learning using the most suitable ICTs.
