Strategic Initiatives represent one of the key enablers of the three University Plans (Course Profile, Student Experience and Research), working to ensure that the objectives of the 2011 – 2015 University Strategy are achieved.
Strategic initiatives are invariably complex undertakings, varying in length, cost, and the degree of impact across the university. Initiatives at CSU are delivered as either a project or a programme (collection of related projects), with the key goal of ensure the successful implementation and management of the strategic change and realisation of identified benefits to the university.
The Division of Information Technology, on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), is responsible for managing and helping deliver the portfolio of Projects and Initiatives (potential projects) that collectively make up CSU's Initiatives and Strategy Implementation Plan (ISIP).
On average, we have 35 active projects running at any one time and over the four year period from 2008 to 2011 CSU completed 78 major projects.
Most, if not all of the projects listed on the ISIP started out as ideas from CSU staff. We welcome and encourage suggestions for projects from all members of the CSU community.
