About The Project Service Centre

PSC

Charles Sturt University has become a complex and large organisation located in a number of different geographical locations in Australia and abroad. Throughout the University's development it has become increasingly difficult for CSU to easily identify and prioritise what ideas/projects need to be addressed now and in the future. To date a combination of senior management has prioritised projects based upon information available.

As a result the University identified that a project management office was the most appropriate means of effectively identifying and managing resources being directed toward achieving CSU's strategic objectives. Therefore, the Project Service Centre (PSC) was established in 2005 and is working toward providing the services necessary to fulfil the stated needs of the University.

The PSC is aligned with the office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration).

To achieve these stated objectives, the PSC aims to improve the overall effectiveness of the University. The PSC is a program of change management for CSU under which projects can be identified, prioritised and implemented using proven project management (PM) methodology to minimise risk and increase benefit realisation.

This site contains a combination of project management principles, templates, tools and general information relevant to project activities within the University. CSU strongly encourages all employees to fully utilise the services provided by this website.
