Q. When will my examinations be?
A. Our scheduled examination periods are published in the Principal Dates, which are available at my.csu under the calendar quick link.
Q. Where can I find information on Examination conditions at CSU?
A. Our examination conditions are published in our Assessment regulations.
Q. When will my timetable be available?
A. We publish a draft timetable approximately six weeks into a teaching session, and the final timetable is published six weeks before the examination period. Internal students can view exam timetables at Student Administration on campus.
Q. How do I get my exam information?
A. You can access your exam information a number of ways. Once the exam timetable has been created, you can access your exam schedule through the Subject Info quicklink in my.csu. Note that this link will not provide you with examination start times.
Distance education students
Distance students will receive a notice to their eBox advising them of the date and time of their exam. Some of our exam venues have differing start times, so please note carefully the start time for your venue.
Your eBox notice is your official examination notification and sets out details of your examinations for the current session. Please read it carefully.

Internal students
Internal Students need to check the exam timetable published in the Student Administration Office of the campus you attend classes at. Please check your venue carefully. An internal timetable will be published here
Q. Where do I attend my examination?
A.You must attend the examination centre shown on your notice. If you don’t attend that centre you will not have an examination available to you to sit. If there are compelling reasons which necessitate you changing to another centre at this stage, you should telephone the Examinations Office immediately (Late fees may be incurred to change centre).
Distance education students
Your eBox notice contains the specific details of your venue. For some of our venues, a map or detailed location instructions have been provided. Please check here to see if your venue has extra information available.
Internal students
Your venue information is provided on the timetable. If you need to query the specific location of your venue please ask at your Student Administration Office.
Q. I changed my address, but my exam centre hasn’t changed How do I change my examination centre?
A. A change of address does not automatically change your examination centre. You need to change your address separately. You can change your Exam Centre using the Online Administration Office. If you cannot change your Exam Centre online, please contact the Examinations office.
Q. Can I have my own examination centre?
A. Distance Education students living within 120 kilometres of an established examination centre are expected to attend that centre. If you are further that 120 kms from an exam centre, you should contact the Examinations office about alternative arrangements.
Q. What if I’m moving overseas?
A. We maintain a number of Exam Centres overseas. Please check the list of Exam Centres on our Exams Information website to see where we have currently have established Exam Centres. If you cannot find an existing centre to meet your needs, please contact us to discuss your alternatives.

Q. I am an internal student. Can I take my examinations at an external centre?
A. Internal students are expected to attend their examinations at the University except where course requirements necessitate their absence from the University during the examination period. Should you be required to be off campus for your course, please contact the Examinations Office for advice regarding your exam centre.
Q. I am an internal student scheduled for a supplementary examination. Is it possible to take this examination at an external centre?
A. The Director, Student Administration after consultation with the Head of the teaching School, may permit an internal student to sit for a supplementary examination at an external examination centre or at a different campus of the University.
Q. What do I need to bring to my examination?
A.You need to take with you to each examination
- your University ID card (or other photo idea bearing your signature)
- pens and pencils
If you are allowed to take other materials to your exam, permitted materials will be indicated in your eBox notice. (Internal students should contact their subject coordinator for information on what materials are permitted into the exam room.)
Q. Can I take my examination earlier or later than the scheduled time?
A. Except where a supplementary or special examination is approved, students may not take a final examination at any time other than on the day and at the time it is timetabled.
Q. What happens if I'm too sick to attend my examination?
A. If a student is prevented from attending an examination on a scheduled date due to illness or misadventure they have three working days to write to the Examinations Office requesting a supplementary examination. Supporting documentation must accompany the request.

Q. I think my exam performance has been compromised. How do I apply for special consideration?
A. You apply for special consideration by writing to your Subject Coordinator. Your application must be supported with documentation in accordance with our Assessment regulations. You can send the request via Student Administration, who will forward the documents on to the Teaching School, or to avoid any delay, pass them directly to your Subject Coordinator. Q. I require special conditions under which to complete my examination. What should I do?
A. If you believe you will be disadvantaged in written examinations you may apply for special examination conditions. You should contact Disability Services for advice on how to apply. You need to complete the Application to Vary Assessment procedure form. You should aim to complete the form no later than six (6) weeks before the commencement of an examination period for special conditions or provisions to apply to an upcoming examination period. Supporting documentation must accompany your request.
Q. How do I obtain a transcript of my studies?
A. You can access your results at the end of each session or trimester through my.csu. Our online service allows students to download and print an unofficial transcript of their results at any time.
Should you require an official copy of your transcript, you can obtain one via the web.

Transcripts will be posted out to the mailing address held on our records - please check your address is correct prior to ordering.
Students living on campus or close to a University campus can make payment at the Cashier on campus and collect their transcript in person from the Student Administration.
