Frequently Asked Questions
Student ID numbers and cards
A & B Student Id Numbers
Student Identification cards
Q. Why do I have A & B Student Identification Numbers?
A. These are issued to students who are enrolled in two or more courses at the same time. Students in such a situation will have a Student Identification Number for each course enrolled in (eg. 94034464A and 940034464B). For example, you would be allocated an A and B ID if studying subjects for a course and as an Associate Student in the same session.
Two separate letters (one for each Student Identification Number) will have been sent to you by the Division of Information Technology. These letters will have your login details (ie. username (or login ID), default password and PIN). In particular, the PIN will be different for each Student Identification Number. You will need to use the appropriate A or B number to access information online for your subjects, enrolment, payments etc.
Q. How do I use CSU Internet services requiring a PIN?
A. When requested, enter the PIN relating to your A or B Student Number. You will have a different PIN for each Student Number.
How do I replace my student ID card?
A. If you have lost your card or need a replacement ID card you will need to write to Student Administration. If you have not had an ID card issued in the last 2 years you need to send a new passport photo. The replacement card cost is $25. Alternatively you can request a new card online and forward the photo if required.
