Information for VTAC Applicants
Selection of VTAC applicants
The number of applicants for each course is normally much greater than the number of places available. The basis for selection for individual courses is listed in the VTAC Guide.
The University reserves the right to request applicants to supply additional information which may be relevant to their application, including documentation of previous academic records or medical certificates in the case of special consideration applications on grounds of illness.
Policy for the use of the VTAC Chronic Circumstances Application Form.
Information for VTAC Year 12 applicants only
Charles Sturt University will take into account the information provided on the VTAC Chronic Circumstances Application Form when ranking current Year 12 applicants for 2009 selection. When evaluating the information supplied, selection officers will be aware that each study score represents the VCAA’s/NSW UAI best available measure of the learning achieved in the subject.
An adjustment to an applicant's rank may be made if the University believes there is sufficient evidence that educational disadvantage has been experienced during Year 12 studies that would justify a higher ranking. Applicants will be considered individually, but in almost all cases the expectation is that such adjustments to ranking will be minor.
