Academic Qualifications

Undergraduate

For admission at undergraduate level where secondary study has been conducted outside Australia, you will require a competitive pass in a recognised matriculation examination that is equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification. Applicants should submit a certified copy of their highest level of secondary school results to support their application for admission.

Applicants should ideally have completed some post-secondary studies (e.g. diploma level) in the area of intended study at CSU. This will allow CSU to assess applications for credit and reduce the duration of the course.

Postgraduate by coursework

For admission at postgraduate level, you will be required to hold a recognised bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree.

Postgraduate by research

For admission to postgraduate research programs you will be required to hold a recognised bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. Your academic performance at the bachelor level will be assessed as part of the admissions process. Admission to research for PhD or doctorate requires completion of a master degree usually requiring completion of qualitative and quantitative research subjects. Applicants are also required to submit a 200 word research proposal outlining the intended area of research. You are encouraged to make contact with CSU Admissions at: admissions@csu.edu.au with a brief outline of your intended research so that we can put you in contact with research staff to discuss the suitability of your research topic prior to submitting your application.
