These booklets will explain eligibility for Commonwealth Support and the options available to you and you should read these booklets even if you intend to pay your subject fees upfront or your employer is paying your fees.
If you did not submit a Commonwealth Support form as part of accepting online you can go to Student Admin online and complete one now. If you would prefer to submit a paper form then please contact Student Central on 1800 275 278.
CSU Card
The CSU Student Card application form is here. Download the Student CSU Card application form and attach your passport-sized photo before returning the form to Student Central for your CSU Card to be issued.
Your subject enrolment
You may have already been automatically enrolled in subjects for your first session of study. You need to check that enrolment to ensure it is correct and make any changes as necessary. If there is no enrolment displayed you need to nominate your subjects before the start of session.
You can check your course structure in the Handbook: http://www.csu.edu.au/handbook. The course structure will show the subject enrolment pattern and guide any amendments to your enrolment.
Go to Student Admin Online (View or Vary your Enrolment)and check your subjects, subject availability and residential school requirements.
Distant Education Study:
The usual part-time distance enrolment is two subjects per session. If there are less than 2 subjects listed in each session or if you can only study one subject at a time or are receiving credit for previous study, amend the subjects listed as necessary after referring to your course structure in the CSU Handbook.
Residential Schools - Some distance education courses may include subjects with a Residential School component. This will be noted in your offer letter, but you can also check here. Attendance at Residential Schools may be compulsory, so check your course and subject requirements carefully.
On-Campus Study:
Subject enrolment for full-time on-campus students is finalised during Orientation Week. You can see if a standard subject enrolment pattern has been loaded for your course by going to http://www.csu.edu.au/division/student-admin/current/online.htm. Don't worry if it is blank as you will receive further information during Orientation Week.
Your contact details - including emergency contact information.
It is important that Student Administration have your current contact details - address, phone and emergency contact information. Go to http://www.csu.edu.au/division/student-admin/current/online and check your name, address and phone details are accurate and current. You also need to add your Emergency Contact details for use in an emergency situation. You should regularly review the information held and update it as soon as there is any change.
Your e-Box & my.csu
Your eBox is your "electronic letter box" to which official CSU communications such as Commonwealth Assistance Notices (HECS Statements) and invoices are sent. It is not email. Access your e-box from here.
