Alternative Assessment for Students with Disabilities
It is not possible to prescribe exactly what types of accommodations or adjustments are suitable for groups of students with disabilities. What may suit one student with a particular condition may not suit another with apparently the same condition; each case should be judged on its merits and the appropriate adjustments should be negotiated between the student and the DLO, using the documentation provided by the student.
There is a large amount of information about assessment and its alternatives. The Code of Practice provides valuable guidelines and examples of best practice. The resource developed by Griffith University is available on the ANU website at
