If you think that you have been discriminated against or treated in an inappropriate way, but are not sure what to do about it, please first discuss the matter with a member of staff at CSU with whom you feel comfortable. This could be a counsellor or DLO at Student Services; one of your teaching staff; Equal Opportunity staff; or the University Ombudsman.
The formal complaints procedure is listed on the University Ombudsman's website. The philosophy behind these procedures is that a complaint should be dealt with as close as possible to where it occurs, and as soon as possible after it occurs.
However, if you feel that your complaint is better dealt with by an external body, then there are two legislation-based approaches you can take.
