CSU Equity Enhancement Projects (EEP)

Funding for CSU Staff and Postgraduate research students

Applications for the first round for 2009 have closed.

Student Equity staff at CSU have designed the Equity Enhancement Projects to provide financial support to Charles Sturt University staff and postgraduate students, either as individuals or groups, for projects or research that would assist one or more equity groups to participate more successfully at CSU. Funding for the program comes from the annual Higher Education Equity Support Program (HEESP) grant.

A total amount of $20,000 per annum will be allocated to this EEP program from equity funds. There will not be a fixed number of projects funded annually; the maximum funding per project will generally be $5,000.

The Higher Education Equity Support Program (HEESP) provides funding to undertake activities that assist in removing barriers to access for disadvantaged students and promote equality of opportunity in higher education. In particular, the HEESP aims to increase the access and participation in higher education of students from low socio-economic/low income backgrounds, students from rural and isolated areas, students with disabilities and students from non-English speaking backgrounds. The HEESP also aims to assist in overcoming educational disadvantage associated with gender.
