Residential School Equity Grants (RSEG)

RSEG Applications will open 27 November 2009 for the January/February 2010 Residential School Period.

Accommodation Assistance to attend Residential Schools

Charles Sturt University's Student Equity Office in conjunction with Student Residences and Business are providing accommodation assistance to distance education students attending residential schools via the Residential Schools Equity Grants (RSEG) scheme.

If your Residential School is in Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange or Wagga Wagga

Your RSEG will provide you with a specified number of free nights accommodation available ONLY in the Halls of Residence (catered) on-campus at Wagga Wagga and Bathurst. Also free nights accommodation on campus at Dubbo and Orange residences. (Please note that Dubbo and Orange accommodation are non-catered cottage style of accommodation.) This accommodation cannot be transferred to other areas or style of on campus accommodation, unless there is a verified need for accessibility.

If your residential school is in Albury, Sydney or Canberra

Your RSEG will provide you with $62.00 per night to put towards the cost of accommodation costs for a specified number of nights accommodation. Payment will be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) directly into your nominated bank account. PLEASE NOTE - Payments will not occur until AFTER you have attended residential school. Recipients will be expected to use their discretion, in accordance with their finances, when selecting an appropriate accommodation provider for their residential school.
