Exemption from Residential School

Students enrolled in a subject which has a compulsory residential school are required to attend unless an exemption has been applied for and granted. Under academic regulations private arrangements for exemptions with Subject Coordinators are not covered.

Exemptions from attendance at a residential school are considered only under exceptional circumstances, therefore non-attendance at the Residential School may cause a fail grade.

Conditions of exemption:

Exemptions are normally only granted on the following grounds:

If the 'reason for exemption' requires support documentation, e.g. illness or misadventure please download the Residential School Exemption Form, and send with documentation to Student Services by fax or post to the relevant campus.

You will then be notified of the outcome of your application.

The Residential Information Booklet provides details of accommodation options and available services on each campus. For campus location details use this map site.
