Who We Are

We begin with our students. Regardless of our varying personal and professional motives, they are the visible reason for our existence.  The most principled approach to educational planning must be governed by their needs and aspirations particularly as they reflect the collective needs and aspirations of their communities. Our students may seem like empty vessels primed to be filled with knowledge, but they are much more. They are individuals with distinct aptitudes, cultural affiliations, realms of knowledge and perception, ways of learning, and unique potentials to serve the public good. We owe them the responsibility we owe society at large to treat them with fairness and respect and nurture their development.

We achieve this by providing 5 Indigenous Student Support centres at the major CSU campuses in Wagga Wagga, Albury/Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo and Goulburn.

Each Indigenous Student Support centre supports Indigenous students to enable a successful transition to tertiary study by directing them to the resources they need to succeed. Our team of professional and dedicated staff members offers a range of services across the personal, academic, social and cultural areas.

Indigenous Student Services spans everything from assistance with Admission through to Graduation. Have questions? Indigenous Student Services is the place to start.

Our centres have heaps of resources for students to use and offer a range of services and programs. We encourage them to drop in, make a cuppa, have a yarn with staff and other Indigenous students or to give us a call if they have a question.

If students have any difficulties we are here to assist and make their transition to student life as trouble-free and painless as possible.
