Jon O'Neill
Jon O’Neill is a white-fella from near Sydney and does not speak for any Indigenous person or organisation. He has an undergraduate degree in Applied Science, with First Class Honours based on German Colonial heritage in the Pacific, and a PhD in preservation of Micronesian heritage.
He has 30 years experience of teaching people from many cultures whose education has been restricted for various reasons and for whom English was not a primary language. He has been taught by Indigenous knowledge-holders in many parts of the Pacific and has worked with Indigenous peoples to help them preserve those parts of their culture and heritage they considered important.
He has worked with Aboriginal peoples on the east coast of Australia from northern Queensland to Victoria and with Torres Strait Islander people in northern Queensland.
