Avoiding plagiarism workshop

What is it?

Plagiarism has become a serious issue within the university. All students should understand the expectations of the university in regard to plagiarism, be able to identify it, and develop skills and strategies to avoid plagiarism. The Learning Skills Team have developed a workshop to supplement the plagiarism web site that covers the following topics:

  1. Expectations at university
  2. Consequences of plagiarism
  3. Understanding plagiarism
  4. Identifying plagiarism

By participating in this workshop students should:

Ideally this workshop should be presented at the beginning of a student's time at CSU. Requesting this workshop to be presented during your timetabled class time ensures that all your on campus students have had the oppotunity to learn about plagiarism, and how to avoid it.

Distance education students can be directed to online resources in the same area through their subject outline.
