To make an appointment with a Learning Skills Adviser, contact Support Central.
Let Support Central know which campus you would like to attend.
If you cannot attend in person, you can email your concerns and/or assignment draft for a Learning Skills Adviser to provide feedback on. You should still make an appointment so the Learning Skills Adviser has the time to look at your work.
Remember you can also obtain Learning Skills advice from the Learning Skills forum.
Guidelines for appointments
- Book your appointment as soon as you can (ideally 1 week before).This will give you plenty of time to work through issues discussed prior to submitting your work for assessment
- Appointments are up to 60 minutes in duration
- When making appointments, please leave a contact number
- If you are unable to make an appointment - please let us know at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time
- Failure to attend a scheduled appointment may limit your chances of making further bookings
- Individual and group appointments can be made with Learning Skills Advisers to discuss study related issues.
What to bring
- Material relevant to your query, for example a copy of your subject outline marking criteria, previous assignments, timetables etc.
- Please ensure you have proof read any written work prior to your appointment and that it is legible.
Emailing assignments
If emailing an assignment to a learning skills adviser, please save documents as Word or RTF files only. Other files may not be able to be opened successfully. Please include in your email:
- the subject code,
- assignment question;
- due date and
- your areas of concern
