2011 Gown Hire costs

Outlined below are the costs for hire at one of the Graduation ceremonies or as a hire outside the ceremony times. Note - all prices are listed in $AUD.

For Hire at Graduation Ceremonies

Academic Dress Hire for Graduation Ceremonies needs to be prepaid prior to your Graduation.
If you pay within three days of your Graduation, you will need to bring a copy of your payment receipt.

Please note the cost of hire appropriate to your degree, and follow the below steps to make payment.

  • Go to the Student Finance Page.
  • Follow the "Make Additional Payments" link at the bottom of the page - you will be taken to the "Addtional Payments" page.
  • Go to the bottom of the "Additional Payments" page and select the either the
    'Bachelor and below' or 'PhD and above' hire option by clicking on the trolley image to the left.
  • Click "View and Pay for Cart Contents" - you will be taken to a confirmation page.
  • Confirm that you have selected the right hire, and select "Pay Now".

For Short Term Hire outside of a Graduation Ceremony

Hires need to be sent to Graduations by 9am Monday each week for processing.
Items will be posted on Tuesday mornings only.

Within Australia (Domestic)

We realise it is not always possible for graduates to attend their ceremony so have devised a system where the outfit can be posted or couriered to you. The cost of freight or post is added to the hire cost below. You have one month from date of dispatch to return the items, after which extra hire charges will be incurred.

International

It is possible to hire academic dress outside Australia. The hire costs are the same as domestic charges however there is a $A200 refundable deposit added in addition to the cost of postage.

You have two months from the date the outfit is received to return the items, after which extra hire charges will be incurred.

Off Shore Ceremonies

Gown hire arrangements are made for all CSU graduation ceremonies held off shore. Details about these arrangements will be included in the information package sent to you by Student Administration.
