First Year Students applications for accommodation in 2010
will OPEN on Monday, 1 December 2009 via the online application facility.
Students studying at Charles Sturt University for the first-time in 2010 are encouraged to make application for accommodation in the Halls of Residence, including International Students.
First year students wishing to apply for a place in accommodation for 2010 must apply on-line. You can only make an application for accommodation once an Offer of Place to study at Charles Sturt University has been made to you through the University Admissions Centre (UAC) or Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). UAC early round offers will be forwarded late November and early December 2009. UAC main round offers will be made on approximately 20 January 2010. Please note: students who deferred their offer from 2009 who already have their CSU login and password may apply as soon as the online form opens on 1 December 2009.
All students will require their CSU login and password to access the accommodation application form. You can use the link below in order to obtain your login and password. If you have any problem with obtaining this information, please contact the Information Technology Service Desk on 1300 653 088 before the accommodation application closing dates for assistance.
This year there will be a number of rooms available on a first-in, first-serve basis. The number of available rooms will vary per campus. You are encouraged to apply and pay the required fees as soon as possible after receiving your CSU offer in order to increase your chance of obtaining an on-campus room. If you are unsuccessful in obtaining one of the limited number of rooms available on first-in, first-serve basis, you will be automatically placed in the automated ballot to be held on 4 February 2010.
Due to the high demand for on-campus accommodation, no guarantee of accommodation is made.
All applications for accommodation and payment of the required fees must be received prior to any offer of a room being made or to be eligible for the ballot.
After 10.00am, Thursday 4 February 2010 only hard-copy applications can be made. This form can be downloaded, then printed, from the Residences Website or you can contact Support Central for information on late applications.
Applicants are to access this site to view if they have received an offer of accommodation.
Once your application has been made you will receive an email at your CSU email address to confirm your application has been received. This will give you a further reminder to pay the $835.00 Application Fee, Service Fee, Washing Machine Levy, IT Levy and Orientation tariff and further instructions for accessing results of your application. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours of lodging your application please contact Support Central on 1300 734 654 (or (02) 6338 4678) or via email - accommodation@csu.edu.au, as there may have been a problem with your application.
