The above fees are calculated on a full period of occupancy in the Halls of Residences.
- All accommodation fees are based on an input taxed position for accommodation and a GST free position for the catered component.
- The above fees include a $200 rebate paid to students who remain in the Halls of Residence all year.
Student occupancy starts from Friday, 15 February 2008 (or date of room occupancy if offer is made after this date) and concludes 9:00am Saturday, 22 November 2008. Students may only occupy their room during this period for the Package time selected.
Note: Students that cancel their place or vacate their room between the time of submitting application and 22 November 2008 may be liable for cancellation fees. Please refer to Section A.8 for details.
Casual Weekly Rates
Casual weekly rates are calculated for casual periods of occupancy, ie non-class period accommodation times.

The University is required to charge GST on all non class period accommodation provided where the purpose of accommodation use is not directly related to an approved University course. The fees listed above will be adjusted accordingly.

IT Levy - University management requires that the Student Residences operation pay a levy to the University for the provision of IT support to the Residences operation. This levy is provided directly to IT for the provision of IT support both on a day to day operation and for future upgrades and major network development. |

Accommodation required during the students' SSAS course period will be charged at the set rates as above. SSAS students can book a casual room on a nightly basis, pre and post the commencement of a course for $40.00 per night, plus a casual booking fee of $15.00. Casual rooms are subject to availability and conditions apply.
