A.2 Application Payments Required

Continuing students (i.e. students who were currently enrolled at CSU in 2008) apply for a room in the Halls of Residence for 2009 during the second session of 2008. Continuing students may be living in the Halls of Residence at time of application (see A.2.1) or may not be living in the Halls of Residence at the time of application (see A.2.2).

A.2.1 Continuing students, who are current residents, applying for a room in the Halls of Residence for the next year will be required to pay on receipt of an offer:
A.2.1.1 The Current Resident Application Fee (non refundable~)
A.2.1.2 The Services Fee (refundable+)
A.2.1.3 The IT Levy (refundable+, %, ½ )
A.2.1.4 The Washing Machine Levy (refundable+, %, ½ )
A.2.2 Continuing students, who are not current residents, applying for a room in the Halls of Residence for the next year will be required to pay on receipt of an offer:
A.2.2.1 The Application Fee (non refundable~)
A.2.2.2 The Services Fee (refundable+)
A.2.2.3 The IT Levy (refundable+, %, ½ )
A.2.2.4 The Washing Machine Levy (refundable+, %, ½ )

~ If CSU is unable to offer a room $130.00 of the Application Fee will be refunded.
+ Refundable if cancelled prior to 12pm (noon), on Wednesday, 11 February 2009.
% If a student cancels prior to 27 June 2009, 50% of the Levy is refundable. After 27 June 2009, this Levy is nonrefundable.
½ Students who apply for a room to move on-campus at the mid-year intake are only required to pay 50% of the Levy. In this event, the Levy then becomes fully non-refundable.

Current residents living on-campus, who apply for a room in the Halls of Residence during the official continuing student online application process but are unsuccessful and placed on the waiting list, will be charged the Current Resident Application Fee according to A.2.1.

However, if an initial offer of accommodation is made to a continuing student off the waiting list, and the offer is declined but the student wishes to remain on the waitlist and wait for another offer, the student is no longer considered a current resident and will be charged the fees according to A.2.2 when/if the next offer is made.

All Continuing Students, both current residents and non-current residents, who apply for accommodation through a Late Application will be charged according to A.2.2.

New students (i.e. students who were not enrolled at CSU in 2008) apply for a room in the Halls of Residence for 2009 after they have received an offer to study at CSU.

A.2.3 New students applying for a room in the Halls of Residence in 2009 will be required to pay:
A.2.3.1 The Application Fee (non refundable~)
A.2.3.2 The Services Fee (refundable+)
A.2.3.3 Orientation Tariff (if applicable) (refundable+)
A.2.3.4 The IT Levy (refundable+, %, ½)
A.2.3.5 The Washing Machine Levy (refundable+, %, ½)
