On-Campus Accommodation
During residential schools, distance education students may choose to stay on-campus at Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange and Wagga Wagga. On-campus student accommodation is not available at Albury, for further information click here.
Types of Accommodation Available
There is a choice of accommodation types available:
- Catered Option (Wagga Wagga and Bathurst ONLY) - includes a serviced room and three meals per day. If you choose to stay on-campus but dine elsewhere, the cost of meals will not be refunded (the tariff is a combined cost designed to keep expenses to a minimum). All meals are served in the central dining room. This option is NOT available at Orange or Dubbo campuses.
- Self Catered Option - allows you to cook your own meals in the accommodation area of which you have been allocated to. All self catered areas have kitchens with either an oven or microwave, or a convection/microwave oven as standard. Crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are NOT supplied; students must bring their own utensils, tea towels and dish cleaning items. Self-catered option in Bathurst is only available in the Halls style of accommodation, not Cottages. There is only a limited number of self catered rooms available. Once all rooms have been filled, students will be allocated to a catered option room and charged accordingly - students will be advised by email should this occur. Self catered rooms can only be booked in the early bird period.
All types of accommodation have shared kitchenettes, bathrooms and common rooms.
Those staying on-campus have single study/bedrooms. Students must recognise the rights of other people to study in peace and quiet.
The Director, Residences and Business, Division of Student Services shall have the final say regarding behaviour in the Residences and students who fail to behave in an acceptable manner may be directed to vacate their rooms.
Smoking is not permitted in any University building or residence.
