Phones and Data

Students may make phone calls from their room by purchasing a Charles Sturt University compliant phonecard from the Mini-Mart on-campus.

For students to access internet data from their room through the CSU Network, you will be required to have:

1. An IBM compatible or Macintosh computer;
2. A network (ethernet) card installed in the computer; and
3. A category 5 unshielded twisted pair cable (at least 3 metres in length, also often referred to as a blue cable) which you will need to purchase from a Computer outlet.
4. Updated antivirus software. PC's found to have virus's may be removed from the network.
