EARLY-BIRD RATE is available to students who book prior to the Early Bird date. This date is announced with the eBox message sent from Student Services when announcing the opening of the Accommodation Online Booking Form. When booking this early-bird accommodation, distance education students will have a choice of two types of accommodation.

Accommodation in the Halls of Residence will have you allocated in a room in the traditional halls. This is an older style of accommodation with a high number of bedrooms per Hall. Traditional Diggings is used as the Halls of Residence style at the Bathurst Campus. However, if Traditional Diggings is fully allocated, John Oxley Village will then be used as a Halls of Residence style at this campus.

Cottage option is the cottage style of accommodation, sharing a cottage with seven other students. This option is not available at Orange Campus. Please note: At Bathurst campus, some of the newer cottage accommodation is in larger blocks sharing with up to fifteen students per floor.

The Self Catered option allows you to cook your own meals in the accommodation area of which you have been allocated to. All self catered areas have kitchens with either an oven or microwave, or a convection/microwave oven as standard. This option can only be booked in the Early Bird period at Bathurst and Wagga Wagga as there is only a limited number of self catered rooms available. In Bathurst, self-catered is only available in traditional halls style accommodation, not cottages.

All accommodation options the Halls of Residences and Cottage options share common facilities (i.e. bathrooms, TV/common room, etc.) within each of the buildings.

Rooms will be allocated in order of receipt of booking and depending on availability. This choice of styles of accommodation and type of catering is only available if booking during the early-bird period.
