Booking Accommodation and Payment of Fees

How do I book for accommodation during my Residential School?

If you are attending Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange or Wagga Wagga campus' for your residential school, you may book accommodation to stay on campus. Please refer to the DE Accommodation webpage for further information. Bookings can only be made from five to six weeks prior to the start of the official residential school period. After you have submitted your booking form online, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your booking.

I have a residential school at Albury-Wodonga campus, how do I book accommodation?

Unfortunately, there is not on-campus accommodation available at our Albury-Wodonga campus during residential schools. But, arrangements are made for distance education students to stay in off-campus accommodation. Please refer to the DE Accommodation webpage for further information.

I have not received the confirmation email after submitting my booking for on-campus accommodation, what do I do?

Firstly, check that you are looking in the right spot. The confirmation email will be sent to the email address you have registered with CSU. (Note - the confirmation is sent as an email, not an eBox message.) For most students, this will be their CSU allocated email address. To view your CSU emails, use the following instructions:

If the confirmation email is still not recorded at your CSU registered email address, please note that the email is an automatically generated email message and some non-CSU email accounts appear to regularly block automatically generated emails from CSU. As such, it is highly recommended that you remove the email redirection to these accounts to ensure you have access to these important emails. If this is the case for you, your confirmation email will not be received, and we are unable to forward you a new confirmation.

How much does it cost to stay in on-campus accommodation?

Costs change from year to year. Please go to Residences DE Accommodation to view the current accommodation fee rates for a residential school stay.

When am I required to pay for on-campus accommodation?

Payment must be received PRIOR to the end of the Residential School. Students can pay at the time of booking accommodation using the online secure website or via a remittance advice or at the cashier's office prior to departure from the Residential School.

How do I pay for my accommodation?

The different methods of payment accepted by CSU are available from the Finance website.

On each campus, the Cashier's office is open from 10.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

On-Campus Accommodation and Room Features

I have selected a catered option for my stay on-campus, what meals am I entitled to?

If you chose either Catered Cottages or Catered Halls, your first meal is dinner on the night you arrive then breakfast and lunch the following day. You are entitled to dinner on the first night of your arrival plus all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) up to and including lunch on the day of your departure.

Please note - As all meals are served in the Dining Room, if you arrive after serving time, a meal will NOT be held for you. Meals are not refundable or transferable.

Please note - Orange and Dubbo campuses no longer offer catered accommodation for fulltime or distance education students. At Orange, the on-campus Bistro is open from 9am-3pm Monday to Friday and offers a variety of sandwiches, drinks and cooked lunches. Lunches can be purchased and stored in your room fridges for evening meals. The price range for Bistro meals is $6-$10. A range of grocery items including milk , bread and frozen meals can be purchased from the Bistro . Items for preparing meals are supplied in the residences. At Dubbo, the on-campus Cafe is open 10am-2pm.

Do I need to bring my own linen and bath towel?

No. Both linen and a bath towel are supplied.

Do I need to bring anything?

Mostly just you, but there are a few items you may wish to consider bringing.

For those students who selected self catered cottage, you will need to bring any item with which you would like to prepare food, cook and eat with (including such things as cooking utensils, pots/pans, crockery and cutlery). Each self catered cottage has a kitchen fitted with a microwave or convection oven and gas or electric stove. Every bedroom in a self catered cottage has it's own bar-size fridge to refrigerate food.

What time is check in?

Check in is from 2pm - 6pm, daily, except at Orange and Dubbo Campuses where check in is 2pm - 5pm Monday to Friday. If you anticipate checking in after 6pm, please read the information supplied to you when submitting your booking online as this will further explain the after-hours check in procedure.

After I arrive, who do I speak with if I have a problem or complaint?

Speak with staff at the check-in counter regarding any problem or complaint. At Bathurst and Wagga Wagga campus' the check-in counter is open from 8am - 10am (weekdays) and 2 - 6pm weekdays and 2pm - 6pm some weekends (depending on student arrivals) during Residential Schools.

At Orange campus, speak with staff at the Cashier's office - open from 10am to 4pm (weekdays).

At Dubbo campus, speak with staff at the Residential and Finance Office - generally office hours are 10am to 2pm (weekdays) but may vary.

For any major problems/complaints (eg: burst water main, noise complaints, security concerns) outside these ours, please contact the security office/out-of-hours staff (refer to information supplied at check in).
