Accommodation Fees for First Year Students
Residential Fees - 2009
When submitting your application, you must pay the following fees:

Please note that the Orientation Tariff is compulsory for all first year students
^ All accommodation fees are based upon a GST-free position for accommodation and a GST-liable position for the catered component

~ If CSU is unable to offer accommodation, $130.00 of the Application Fee will be refunded.
+ Refundable if cancelled prior to 12pm (noon) on Wednesday, 11 February 2009.
% If a student cancels prior to 26 June 2009, 50% of the Levy is refundable. After 26 June 2009, this Levy is nonrefundable.
½ Students who apply for a room to move on-campus at the mid-year intake are only required to pay 50% of the Levy. In this event, the Levy then becomes fully non-refundable.
Annual Residential Fees
The below fees are calculated on a full period of occupancy in the Halls of Residences.
Package One: Will provide a resident with accommodation for the teaching and exams weeks of the academic year. Residents will be required to clear and vacate their room for all non class periods.
Package Two: Will provide a resident with accommodation for teaching weeks, exam weeks, and three sets of non class periods (March/April, June/July, September). Students will nominate Package Two so they can remain on/return to campus to attend to University commitments during non class periods.

All fees include a $150 rebate paid to students who remain in the Halls of Residence all year. The above fees are calculated on a full period of occupancy in the Halls of residences. Student occupancy starts from Friday, 20 February 2009 (or date of room occupancy if application is made after this date) and concludes on 9.00am Saturday, 28 November 2009. Students may only occupy their room during this period for the Package time selected.Note: Students that cancel their place or vacate their room between the time of submitting application and 28 November 2009 may be liable for cancellation fees. Please refer to section A.8 of the Administration Regulations

These rates apply to casual periods of occupancy, e.g. non-class period accommodation times.

Payment Options
You may select one of three options to pay your 2009 Accommodation Fees.
- Pay the entire fee for the appropriate category rate and package option (Package One or Package Two) on the first due date in February.
- Pay the accommodation fee on the due dates as outlined on the 2009 Residential Fees Schedule for the appropriate category and package option.
- Request an extension and have recorded with the Support Central staff prior to the due date.
