Wagga Wagga
Wagga Wagga campus is located on the northern outskirts of the largest inland city in NSW. With a population of 58,000, Wagga Wagga offers facilities that rival any major city. With excellent sporting, recreational, shopping, commercial, and other services, you can enjoy city living in a relaxed and friendly rural environment.
Wagga Wagga Campus
Wagga Wagga Campus has two residential campuses. One is located on University grounds, known as Main Campus, located approximately 10 kilometres from the city of Wagga Wagga. Main Campus has a variety of accommodation available on a Catered or Self-Catered basis.
The other campus, known as South Campus, is located in the city of Wagga Wagga. South Campus accommodation is available on a self- catered basis and is accessible by the University Bus Service.
Two private affiliated residential colleges operate at the Wagga Wagga campus. Saint Martin's College operated by the Anglican Church and Saint Francis College operated by the Catholic Church.
Catered
This is available in the traditional Halls of Residence on main campus. These rooms are fully carpeted, single study bedrooms with communal facilities and common rooms. The buildings are heated and the common room has a TV, microwave and refrigerator. The University provides breakfast and dinner, Monday to Friday, and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
Listed below are the categories of catered accommodation:
- Cottages: The Cottages comprise of eight fully furnished single study rooms with shared common rooms and bathrooms. This category is catered however the Cottages contain full kitchen facilities as well.
- Stewards Halls: Comprises four, single-storey buildings, fully heated and air conditioned. These are single study bedrooms and each is fully furnished and carpeted. Each building has a common room with TV, refrigerator, microwave and hot water urn.
- Butler Halls: Comprises of three, two-storey buildings. Each building is centrally heated, fully furnished and carpeted, has a carpeted common room with TV, refrigerator and microwave.
- Bowen (formerly East) Hall & West Hall: These have single study bedrooms. All are fully carpeted, furnished and heated. Both are two-storey buildings with open balconies. Again, each has a common room with TV, refrigerator and microwave.
- Doman Hall: This hall consists of single study bedrooms. Rooms are fully carpeted, furnished and heated. Doman has two common rooms with microwave, refrigerator and TV.
Self Catered
The Self-Catered areas are located both at Main and South Campuses. If you live in a self-catered residence you cook your own meals unless you decide to buy meals in the University Dining Room. Students need to bring basic crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, including those suitable for a microwave oven.
Listed below are the categories of self-catered accommodation:
- New Residences: Comprises of 10 two-storey buildings of 20 bedrooms in each building.
- Cottages: The cottages comprise of single storey eight-bedroom cottages.
- South Campus: Comprises of five large residential blocks, designed in a horseshoe shape with fully furnished, carpeted bedrooms (with a bar refrigerator in each room), communal kitchens (with stoves, microwaves, refrigerators and freezer space), common room, TV, Pay TV, toilets and showers.
