CSU Alchohol Survey

In May 2007 the Division of Student Services conducted a preliminary survey on the consumption of alcohol of students living in accommodation on the Wagga Wagga campus at Charles Sturt University. Student Services are attempting to clarify some of the misconceptions surrounding the amount of alcohol that is actually consumed by students. The purpose of the survey was to gather data on alcohol consumption to be used in a Social Norms Media Campaign. The social norms approach for alcohol use involves presenting accurate majority (normative) information that addresses drinking misperceptions on campus. 516 students living in campus accommodation were surveyed. The information gathered is invaluable for the improvement and development of health and wellbeing services to students. A report on the CSU Alcohol Survey 2007 is now available for download below.

Off-Campus Student Survey 2006

In late 2005 the Division of Student Services initiated a review through the Student Community Coordinators of the needs of internal students living off-campus studying at CSU. An online survey was conducted to obtain input from this cohort of students. A report on the findings is now available for download below.

Feedback is most welcome!

The purpose of distributing this survey report is to stimulate thought and/or discussion regarding the identified needs of internal students living off campus and how staff of CSU can assist in prioritising and implementing the reports recommendations. The Student Community Coordinators therefore encourage any feedback and invite you to submit your comments and suggestions on the findings of the report and its recommendations before the 1st of September 2006.
