Saving money when leaving rental accommodation
- Clean the flat or house thoroughly.
- Check the Inventory provided when you took over the flat. Remember the tenant has the opportunity to (a) repair any damage, and (b) replace breakages.
- Tidy the grounds.
- Make sure you have all the keys and return them to the Real Estate Agent or Owner.
- If the carpets have been shampooed at tenant’s costs, keep a receipt to prove this to the agent.
- Make sure the rent is paid up.
Always sign a bond release form when you are satisfied.
