CSU runs an Orientation Program in the week before classes commence. This program is compulsory and will assist you to make the transition to living and studying in Australia. The Orientation Program is designed to provide a framework that will allow you to get the most out of your experience both academically and personally.
You will attend workshops that cover issues that are important to you as an international student. Workshops include; library orientation, computer centre (laboratories) access, overseas student health cover (OSHC), taxation, visa requirements, on campus and off campus accommodation, studying in Australia, family assistance and support services.
This is also a time to attend course advisory sessions and enrol at the University. You will also find out about your subject tutorials and timetable.
You will find out how Charles Sturt University operates and discover the city that your CSU campus is located in. Orientation is an opportunity to make new friends and prepare for the semester ahead. Social activities and club events are also organised.
