CSU endeavours to take the strongest possible representative team away to compete at the university games. Where trials are not possible teams will be selected on the information provided below.

Section E - University Team Member Contract

I, being a member of the CSU Team participating in the Australian University Games, hereby agree to the following terms and conditions.

  1. That I am a currently enrolled student at Charles Sturt University and will abide by all University Rules.
  2. That I will wear the official competition uniform when competing.
  3. That I remain under the management of the University Team Manager in all respects while a member of the team, and to comply with all instructions given by team management, officials or security.
  4. That I show respect for other team members at all times. i.e. not being noisy late at night
  5. That I abide by the rules of the competition as prescribed by AUS and abide by the referee’s/umpire's decision.
  6. That I will incur the costs of any disciplinary actions that may result from my actions, including the costs associated with being sent home from the event.
  7. That I respect the rights and property of management whilst in residence at an accommodation facility and agree to incur the entire costs of any damage they are found responsible for.
  8. That I will abide by the AUS Code of Behaviour and not do the following:
    1. consume alcohol unless in an approved area, in line with relevant liquor licensing regulations
    2. be unduly intoxicated at any event venue or official and unofficial social functions of, or associated with, the event
    3. be indecently exposed at any time during the competition, including social functions
    4. breach the AUS's Doping Policy
    5. use any illegal drug during the event
    6. fail to comply with a reasonable direction of an event Official
    7. harass any other person
    8. act in an unlawful manner
    9. act in any other manner which brings the event, and/or the hosts (including any employee, official or agent of such organisations) into disrepute
  9. That I am liable for a $150.00 fine if I breach the AUS Code of Behaviour.
  10. I accept the inherent risks of participating in the event.
  11. I accept that CSU, its employees and associated bodies cannot be held liable for any personal injuries or accidents.
  12. I accept to pay for any cost or expenses incurred in providing medical treatment.
  13. I give authorisation for CSU to publish my name and photographs of me in official publications.
  14. I accept that I will only be covered by the insurances of CSU as long as I abide by the code of conduct and recommendations given by CSU staff.
  15. That I will adhere to the AUS Forfeit Policy and acknowledge and assist with payment of the $500.00 fine if my team does not fulfill the allocated Team Duty, or forfeits a game as the team will be responsible for the fine.
  16. That I am required to pay the registration fee by the due date set by the Uni Games Coordinator and that I understand that this payment represents a commitment to being a member of the CSU team.
  17. That I am required to attend compulsory team meetings organised by the management staff and failure to attend these could result in the forfeit of the $50 bond.
  18. That if I withdraw from my nomination for extenuating circumstances written documentation must be given to the Uni Games Coordinator before consideration can be given for the bond to be refunded.
  19. That I understand if I have not paid the full cost of the trip by the dates set that my registration will be cancelled.

Should any individual breach this Code of Conduct there are a number of penalties that could be incurred. These penalties can include:

  1. Official reprimand and warning from CSU team manager.
  2. A second warning will result in suspension from the rest of the event and being sent home (at offenders own cost)
  3. Bans from further University Games or Championships.
  4. Monetary fines (these will be imposed to repay any damage caused by an individual or team)
  5. Total ban from any further CSU sport and recreation activities.
  6. Any other form of penalty deemed appropriate by CSU team managers including loss of bond.
  7. If unlawful, your conduct will be reported to the police.
