If circumstances will prevent you from completing assignments by the end of session, you will need to apply for a Grade Pending. If approved by the Head of School, you may be given extensions beyond the Exam period and the time when grades have to be submitted, right up to the commencement of next session. Normally the GP grade will need to be converted by the end of the second week of the following session.

This option is well worth remembering because it can mean the difference between salvaging the subject and ending up with a Pass rather than a Fail grade.

How do I apply for a Grade Pending?

Application forms can be accessed from the Downloadable Forms section of the CSU Website or obtained from the Student Administration Office.

It is important that all applications are supported by documentary evidence such as a doctor’s certificate or a letter from a health professional.
