The Charles Sturt University Riverina Children's Centre aims to provide a homely, loving, stimulating and safe environment.
Our Operations
The Centre operates from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday for 48 weeks of the year.
Our Management
Our Management committee consists of the following representatives:
- Parents
- Early childhood lecturers
- Director
- Staff representative
Our Philosophy
- Children have a right to an environment that supports their individual needs and stimulates all aspects of their development
- Parents have a right to participate in the decision affecting their children
- Staff have a right to a secure, stimulating work environment that provides opportunities for professional development

The Centre
The Centre is administered by an Early Childhood trained Director and is divided into two main sections:
- 6 weeks - 3 years: the Jellybean Room
- 3 years - 6 years: the Gumnut Room
Both the Jellybean Room and the Gumnut Room have trained staff with early childhood qualifications. The Centre has achieved a high standard of accreditation from the National Childcare Accreditation Council. At CSU-R we pride ourselves on providing a fun, stimulating and happy environment.
