Our Mission Statement

The Charles Sturt University Riverina Children's Centre aims to provide a homely, loving, stimulating and safe environment.

Our Operations 

The Centre operates from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday for 48 weeks of the year.

Our Philosophy 

CSU-R Children's Centre provides permanent long day care for children 0-6 years within the University and wider community. 
The Centre's guiding philosophy is:
 

Children have a right to an environment that supports their individual needs and stimulates all aspects of their development
Parents have a right to participate in the decision affecting their children
Staff have a right to a secure, stimulating work environment that provides opportunities for professional development 
The university community has a right of equitable access to quality, affordable childcare 
All participants in the Centre have an equal opportunity right 

The Centre

The Centre is administered by an Early Childhood trained Director and is divided into two main sections: 
 

6 weeks - 3 years: the Jellybean Room
3 years - 6 years: the Gumnut Room

Both the Jellybean Room and the Gumnut Room have trained staff with early childhood qualifications. The Centre has achieved a high standard of accreditation from the National Childcare Accreditation Council. At CSU-R we pride ourselves on providing a fun, stimulating and happy environment.
