Learners Role
The student’s role is to complete the qualification within a
two year time frame
Responsibilities
include:
- Enrolling
with CSU Training and paying fees as required
- To
nominate a Workplace coach and FDRP Supervisor
- Requesting
RPL and/or credit transfer if applicable and:
- Submitting
verified copies of certificates and evidence of current competence
(Credit transfer)
- Preparing
for RPL interview
- Participating
in RPL interview
- Gathering
evidence to demonstrate competence, including 3rd party report
- Developing
a study timetable and workplace coach dates
- Analysing
the learning and assessment requirements for each unit of study
- Liaising
with the workplace coach and FDRP Supervisor to discuss the learning and
assessment requirements and to arrange opportunities to learn and practice
the required competencies in the workplace
- Completing
the learning and assessment tasks with guidance and support from workplace
coach
- Asking
FDRP Supervisor to facilitate
completion of 3rd
party reports
- Submitting
assessment tasks to trainer/assessor in the required manner
- Following
up on any task required and resubmitting work if the assessment result
was Not Yet Competent
- Advising
CSU Training and employer of any circumstances that may impact on
training, eg change of marital status, impending leave, family
circumstances, change of job
