Trainer/ Assessors
Role
The role of CSU Training trainer/ assessors is to provide guidance and support to the learners throughout their study and to conduct assessment on behalf of and in the best interests of CSU Training.
Responsibilities
include:
1. Advising CSU Training of case load capacity
2. Conducting welcome interview with students within agreed timeframe and negotiate learning and assessment schedule
3. Advising students of contact schedule and details including arranging a back up contact
4. Conducting assessment in line with AQTF, VETAB, Training Package and CSU Training requirements including arranging and conducting RPL interviews
5. Submitting assessment reports, which should include positive and constructive feedback to students, in accordance with CSU Training procedures and timeframes
6. Confirming student progress
7. Participating in CSU Training workshops and contribute to developing and reviewing learning materials and assessment tools
8. Participating in assessment validation activities
9. Being familiar with the Community Services Training Package and requirements for Family Dispute Resolution qualifications
10. Adhering to the Code of Practice for Assessors and CSU Training Code of Practice
11. Representing and promoting CSU Training in a positive way to learners and the profession
12. Maintaining currency of industry knowledge and experience through participation in professional development, networking, research and industry experience programs
13. Maintaining currency in all areas of personal vocational competence in training and/or assessment practice.
