CSU Training offers TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment via Distance Education. Upgrade from TAA40104 is offered as well as RPL. To access these options, complete and submit the enrolment form and pay the enrolment fee.

Information about the Qualification

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.

Achievement of this qualification or an equivalent by trainers and assessors is a requirement of the Australian Quality Training Framework Essential Standards for Registration (Standard 1 as outlined in Appendix 2 of the Users' Guide to the Essential Standards for Registration).

This qualification, or the skill sets derived from units of competency within it, is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program.

Who needs TAE40110?

TAE10 provides for the skills development of a wider range of VET professionals such as workplace or RTO based assessors; teachers/trainers; educationalists; support personnel; and middle level technical managers. In addition, it provides pathways at graduate level in Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN), management (learning), and international education.

1. Please read the TAE40110 information before completing and submitting your enrolment form.

2.  On receipt of your enrolment form your enrolment fee will be processed, 

3.  The Core Unit Learning and Assessment Guides will be mailed to you, and

4.  Your assessor will contact you by phone to discuss your individual training plan.

If you are applying for Credit Transfer and/or equivalence of TAA40104 Units: 

1. Read also the mapping information available on the CSU Training website

2.    Attach to this enrolment application the following documents only:

a. A certified copy of your Statement of Attainment/s   for TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Units

and/or 

b. Certified copies of Statement of Attainment/s from imported units (as detailed below) or other elective  Unit.

and

c. Evidence of your current competence. eg; Current job description relevant to working in VET, supported by a statement from your employer verifying your current competence.

Please do not send any other documentation at this stage. 

3. Your assessor will contact you by phone to discuss additional course requirements. (This may include undertaking recognition or course work to complete the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment).

4. You will be sent the required Learning and Assessment Guides and/or Recognition templates.

Prerequisite requirements

There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency.

 

Pathways from the qualification

After achieving TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, candidates may undertake TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment or may choose to undertake TAE70110 Vocational Graduate Certificate in Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice.

 

Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification considerations

There is no direct link between this qualification and licensing, legislative and/or regulatory requirements. However, where required, a unit of competency will specify relevant licensing, legislative and/or regulatory requirements that impact on the unit.

7 core units plus

3 elective units

At least 2 elective units must be selected from the elective units listed below. One elective unit may be selected from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course. Elective units must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the qualification level. Where a unit is chosen from another currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course, it must be from a qualification or course at Certificate III level or above, and must contribute towards the vocational outcome of the program.
